Mission

Building community to support our library.

How We Work

All funds raised by the Friends of the Albany County Public Library organization go to help the public library. Wonderful volunteers work tirelessly year-round to sort and organize the donations given so generously to our library for the book sales held throughout the year. All of the proceeds raised from our organization are donated to our public library.  These funds provide critical support for purchasing new materials.

In addition, library staff evaluate the donations we receive from the public and choose items that enhance or replace items in the collection. The library gets a significant portion of their collection from donations.
